“And did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly;”

II Peter 2:5

Has there been a time in your life that you were called on a to perform an important task? God called upon Noah to perform a task that would affect the whole world. He was called upon to build an ark because a flood would come to destroy the known world for its wickedness. In addition, Noah was known as a preacher of righteousness. For 120 years he preached to the known world about the coming judgment and no one listened.

He and his family would be saved from the coming judgment because of faith. In the same way, we are secure in salvation because of our faith and saved from the coming judgment.

My challenge today is that we flood the world with the good news of faith, hope and love. I want for us to pray for people to be immersed by His overwhelming love. Pray that the washing of His word would bring about a new hope and that many would come to faith in Christ. Be ready to share, just as Noah did, faithfully and regardless of the outcome.
